TALE Platform: A Digital Space Where Stories Find Their Place in the Community
From the very beginning, we knew we didn’t want the TALE platform to be “just another project website” that goes offline once the project ends. We wanted it to be attractive, long-term, and innovative — a platform that would live on and be used by others. Our vision was a digital community that grows through the stories it hosts. At its core are the lived experiences of young people from vulnerable backgrounds — not as isolated testimonies, but as threads that weave into our everyday fabric.
This gave rise to the idea of a platform that places stories within a community. Through interactive elements, a clear and visually impactful interface, graphics, and thematic categories, the user doesn’t just scroll through a static database but explores a dynamic space that invites curiosity. The platform becomes a map of vulnerability, resilience, and growth, where each story opens the door to a deeper understanding of real youth needs.
Stories are grouped, but not boxed in — we wanted them to invite dialogue and the sharing of one’s own experiences. With a design that honors the identity of each storyteller, every entry carries both emotional weight and educational value. The platform also offers tools for youth workers, creating a bridge between personal expression and professional support.
As our research confirmed, it’s crucial for young people not to be defined solely by their challenges — but by what grows from them. The TALE platform enables just that: to ensure that vulnerability is not remembered as a label, but as a catalyst for change.
But don’t just take our word for it — explore the platform, think about how you might use it, and share your impressions with us.
